These are the Pine Wood Socks, a pattern by Penny Baker, in Susan Crawford’s Lock yarn. Susan Crawford launched a kit for these last December (2024) and I immediately forwarded the email to Phil and requested it as a Christmas present. I finished knitting these during the summer so was glad to start wearing them this Christmas / winter.
I initially knit the first sock in pattern size 3, before sizing down to size two which fits me much better (I’m a shoe size 4). I also slightly reduced the length and the height (stopping knitting at row 50 on the chart, instead of 60) for a perfect fit.
